You know, I am happy that my Dad is my Dad. He is the best father in the whole world. In my world of course. To this day, now, I am 23 and he haven't really scold or yell at me before. Whenever I make any mistake, he would always smile and says 'it's okay'. Take this evening for example, I tried to make double chocolate chips cookies, while mixing the dough, I broke the wooden spoon. And he said it's alright and use a new spoon. Then, I stop a minute and flash back. I realized that this is not the first time. My Dad has been very patience and nice to me ever since I was a little girl. He taught me that it is okay to fail, make mistake, be silly, be embarrassed and angry at myself. But, you must be able to stand up again after falling. To have the courage to try again, or start over and believe that the world is not at the end yet.

One day, I want to go New York :)

I was so blessed to have great friends who drove me from Manchester to Sheffield.

The entire road trip was scenic where I wish the journey could be longer :)

Moved into my temporary residence hall. You have no idea how many times I went into the office to make complaints. Problems with the Internet, noise pollution, broken microwave... Eventually, I just don't bother anymore. At least the room is clean and new-looking.

This is my favourite spot to have lunch or simply to hang out :)

Let's hope for the best in this green city :)

Being a tourist in Manchester

Welcome to Manchester.

Weather here is as crazy as what I experienced in America. This place is cloudy, gloomy, rainy, dull and wet.

We did a lot of walking here since you won't even sweat after walking miles and miles. Unlike in KL.

We walked from Old Straford Stadium to the city. Which is about 3.5 KM. Did I mentioned in the rain??

The next day after arriving in Manchester, I was standing in front of the Man United players.
Marcus the tour guide and Melinda my tour partner.

I love every architectures here :) Pictures turned out really nice no matter how what.

I think I just found my version of dream home.

On sunny day, we just sit outside, tanning. We compared our skin complexion with Steven's. I would kill to be as fair as he is.
One of my favourite views here.

I am going to Sheffield in 2 days time and I couldn't wait for my college buddies to be here.

I met up with Jasmine, Jason and SK yesterday. They brought back some air from St. Cloud and it was so nostalgic. When I got back to my room, I walked down the memory lane, remembering who I met and what I did there. I sure had lots of great time there. =D On top of that, I just got to know there is a new Malaysian UGRADer that will be heading to St. Cloud State University this fall. To be honest, I am glad and happy but envious at the same time. I hope Amy would create lots of valuable experience there.

Jasmine brought something back for me and I am really excited. Thanks Jasmine!! I am really embarrassed as the package is so bulky.

Voila! I think I have enough supply for the summer.

And yay!!! a new digital camera. After months and months, thinking and wanting, I got one finally.

I am trying to live through my break to the max before starting a new semester. I heard a lot of same old advice from my working friends "enjoy while you can". Man, this is so cliche. However, I do take them seriously as I can't predict when I'll have any chance like this again.

What I've been indulging myself with lately?

Asian Buffet Dinner at Tao with friends I made while working at Singapore. The buffet is good but I suggest you go there with empty stomach. For me, it was not worth because I have small appetite.

Did I mentioned I had snowflake at Kota Damansara before my buffet dinner?

As for the next day, my lunch is snowflake again.... At Pavilion because Heng Fai wanted it so much.

And had Aglio Olio with calamari at Manhattan Fish Market. I had enough of seafood for now.
This man here actually did something more than my expectation. He prepared a guide for me on where to get the best things in UK at the best price.

Here I am, back to Malaysia since Sunday and I've been bumming at home for almost a week. Got a call for work in Denai Alam by Sime Darby which I didn't hesitate to accept at all. But after that I realised I forgot about meeting Heng Fai on Saturday. Sorry dude. Really, sincerely.

Time passes extra slow today but I have a new friend that entertained me.

Meet Milo, the clown. I just thought it is pretty cute to have a clown sitting on a couch in a serious living room.

Clowns are evil. When I was little, I had coulrophobia. I fear and hated clown so much because they will eat me!!! Haha. Being slidely rational now, I am no longer afraid of clowns. See! I make friend with one. I even took pictures of him. Plus, I added him on Facebook. Okay, clowns are people too. Milo's real name is Patma.

And he made me a dog balloon.

While camwhoring, we compared our shoe sizes as well.

Last day of work tomorrow. Let's hope I have another fun day.

A little hearty meal I made for my mummy and I, garlic bread. Since I made it out of grains sprouted bread, it tasted really good :) I am serious about this.

For today, I just wanted to stay at home. Online, watch a few movies, read one or 2 page(s) of novel, do mask and maybe a little cat nap. I am tired of always on the move so I wanna stay still today.

There are many who asked me whether have I prepared my stuffs for UK or not. Darlings, I have not because there is nothing much actually. It will be same like going to US and Singapore. I'm going to stay at a place for awhile, begin to love it but have to leave eventually. However, life still goes on and I am looking forward for new adventure.

awfully indulging day

I had an enjoyable day off yesterday. I slept at 5.30 am in the morning and woke up at 10am because somebody's alarm rang so loud. Honestly, I don't believe the types and amount of food I stuffed myself. I can feel my stomach bloating.

JC, my boss brought me to Katong to have Katong Laksa. Honestly, this is one of the best local Singaporean that I've ever tried before. Even the highly commercilized frog porridge was not this good.

I took an additional Otak-Otak. Tasted same like what we have in Malaysia.

Then we stopped by Awfully Chocolate to have hot green tea and Super Stack Chocolate Cake with a scoop of vanilla. I can only use the word 'OMG'. It is sinfully delicious. The cake was moisture enough, the cream was mild warm and the ice-cream went perfectly well with the combination.

After all the good food JC dropped me at one of the MRT station so I could go Bugis to walk around. I want to maximise one of my hard-to-get day like this.

With my ipod and a few good songs in my playlist, I walk aimlessly without map, looking for places to explore. I love walking on the street where nobody know me and nobody care. Heard about Haji Lane? It's an interesting place with smell of shisha all over.

Found a vintage shop and Vespa :)

Remind me of Jonker Street in Malacca but this place has its own uniqueness.
They are many small boutiques but I think the items are overprice. Guess what? I bought 2 dresses that look similar to what I see here for only $10 each. They are selling here for $40. Sounds like Sungei Wang and Telawi Street.

Just browsing. Love the interior of these boutiques.

Walk too much and I got a little dehydrated. The weather is panas gila. I just went into a coffee place and had a bottle of Esprit Passionfruit.

I am the only patron there!! Well, it's okay, I feel sad for them :)

Yi Yung called me to his workplace to have dinner. Burger and Chardonnay. Breathe in breathe out... Life is good.

Had a few bites of cakes as they are giving out free samples. Chocalate cake and caramel cheesecake.

I don't know what is this call but its something different.

But food doesn't stop here. As I got home and shower, we ordered McDonalds delivery service and my colleague is buying. It's already in our tummy and I was too tired to take picture. I had Salad Chicken McGrill. Really good, I wish they have it in Malaysia.

My stomach say no more food.

I have 10 more days and I'll be out of this job.
To think again, this is another good experience ever and I have no regret at all.
I work and live with funny, easy to get along and awesome people.
Damn, goodbye is so hard to say. It's always like this. I go somewhere, make friends and family then I have to leave. The cycle continues. Well, nothing to be emotional about as life goes on.

This Monday was the best day off that I've ever had. On Sunday night, Shih Mei called me out of the blue asking me to go Clark Quay to meet herself and Yi Yung. Die die also she wanted me to be there. I quickly ran off from work and jumped into the MRT. No hesitation. I slept over at her place after that. In the morning, I went back to my place.

I found an eclair from Sweetspot waiting for me in the fridge. Thanks Eric. It was so yummy, I mean it when I say yummy.

My day was just getting started. This time round, I didnt make any prior plans but somehow, things went so well.

Nothing is better than having companies to spend my whole day rather than walking around Orchard Road aimlessly.

Again, I have a date with Shih Mei.

and Yi Yung. I just met him in Clark Quay and he is a really super nice guy. He is Jun Yi's friend actually but Shih Mei is the reason we met up. It's a long story.

We watched 2 movies back to back in Cathay Cineleisure Orchard. First was Morning Glory. I kinda like it mainly for Rachel McAdams.

We had ice cream break of 20 minutes and Swensen.

Next, we move on to action movie, Eagle.

Last but not least, we had Nandos for dinner thanks to Yi Yung :)

And Shih Mei said she love me. I am telling the whole world. hahaha.

Believe it or not, I had not eaten any Doritos since I came back from the States. To recall back, I used to munch them almost everyday. That was why I gained so much weight :)

I was doing grocery shopping in Fairprice this morning. The Doritos was displayed nicely on the shelves and I could hear them calling my name. They are not that expensive in Singapore.

So, I bought one pack and shared it with my friends. It's so much tastier that way than eating it alone.

How is everything here so far? I'm trying my best to hang in there, stay cheerful and blend in with my colleagues. There are moments where I feel completely lonely and different. I do wish my friends and family were here with me. I miss mamak food and asam laksa.

I just have to say that being in this situation is like pretending to be somebody I am not.

Hello everyone!! How is your weekend going so far? I've been requesting a day off on a Saturday and I got one :) I ventured Singapore a little and this is just the beginning.

First of all, I have been longing to meet up with Shih Mei and Victor. I miss them a lot. Initially, I have some problem going to City Hall to meet them. God knows how did I walked from Marina Bay Sands to Esplanade Mall to Marina Square to Suntec City and finally, to City Hall. Did I mention by walking? Awesome right!

With the big dai lou. His led me to the destination by phone, Shih Mei was so hopeless when it comes to giving direction.

After that, I went to Orchard Road alone. I wanted to do some window shopping. Well, I purchased something so, it's not counted as window shopping. Seriously, people is everywhere in the streets of Singapore. What amaze me is that walking alone here isn't that bad at all. I feel so secure. I didn't even bother to hug my bad tightly because the chances of snatch theft is so low.

Found a big shoe made out of flowers at Ion Orchard.

I wonder why do people have to queue up to get into Louis Vuitton.

I took a bus back to the condominium. It was a good ride home because there are many buildings and people to see along the way.

I decorated my ez link with a sticker I got by donating to a St. John girl.

I came back with empty stomach, so I cooked instant noodle. Besides, I secretly took picture of Jun Yi while he was doing his homework.

Alright, that's all for today as I have work tomorrow.

I am going to let this routine run for another one month and a half more but it's okay. I know I can do it. As much as I don't like the management but I love the nature of my job. I like to meet people from different walks of lives. They always tell me stories and I am ready to listen. There are many friendly and nice people out there. However, there are also a handful that is difficult to handle. That's alright, those can't slow me down.

Woke up this morning with no plan in mind. I started to pick up One Piece, some shounen manga about pirates adventure and I so sure that I dream of it last night. While chasing after the chapters, Vivien called me out of the blue for lunch with Heng Fai in KLCC.

Heng Fai kept complaining that Vivien's camera made him look fat. But we all knew that the camera was not to be blamed. The problem lies within his own good self. hehe. Hope you have a successful intensive work out to create 6 packs there, buddy!

A good luck card for Vivien as she is going to China for 6 months. I found online, Peter Pan said " never say goodbye because saying goodbye means going away and going away means forgetting". So, I made her a simple good luck card instead.

After spending some quality time with Vivien and Heng Fai, I went to Subang to meet up with Mei Ling, Wen Khai and Wern Hwei. The motive was to shop for digital camera. Mei Ling already set her eyes on Canon G12. And as for me, I am still thinking which to buy. My original plan was to get a simple point-and-shoot digital camera. Then, Panasonic Lumix LX5 strikes me a little because it looks like a decent camera for an amateur, something I would like to consider. And when I got home, my brother mess up my decision by suggesting me to buy a Nikon DSLR.

What do I want? Okay, do not be in a hurry, take some time to evaluate.

Aright, I was missing from Malaysia randomly. I am back now and getting ready to celebrate Chinese New Year :) Feel so great to be at home, in my own green room with familiar things and of course, laptop.

For the past 10 days, I was in Singapore, being so called Marina Bay Sands ambassador. What is my job scope? To promote free Sands membership. It was fun but tiring. Standing and walking around from 10 am till 10 pm. Cannot lean, cannot sit, cannot hunch, cannot this, cannot that. Too strict for me to be happy about. Well, to look on the bright side, I got the opportunity to talk to people from different parts of the world. Trying to utilize my Japanese but it was a total failure as I only utter a few words, forgetting many phrases but I understood what the Japanese were saying. I made use of my Mandarin and Cantonese to speak with patrons from Hong Kong and China. And believe or not, Bahasa Melayu is useful as it is almost similar to the Indonesian.

Another interesting discovery is that, most people I met there thought I was Filipino, Indonesian, Eurasian or simply "what are you?". Even Filipino themselves thought I was one of them and tried to speak to me in their own language. Not just once but many times. It's fun to keep people wondering about my race :)

To those who don't know, this is Marina Bay Sands Hotel. Their signature attraction is the Sands SkyPark, the Casino, the celebrity chef restaurants and the Shoppes.

I have one off day, so I met up with Shih Mei and Victor.

Victor and I tried Mos burger. It is so good... Yummy.....

We walked along Orchard Road, Bugis, China Town and some other places I don't recall.

I had my International Marketing Strategy paper yesterday. How was it? Hmmm... No comment, I don't think I performed the best. Lets just forget about that until my result day. 2 more papers to go.

Today, I stay at home and sit at the same spot for the entire day. Even for now, I am still sitting here. While writing my notes for E-business paper this coming Friday, I have a few thoughts:

I want to get myself polka dots dresses, a black leather jacket and a ballet flats.
Encounter weight issues. Thanks to Penang trip and exam stress, I've been binge eating.
I miss him ever since we went on separate ways. Why time couldn't turn back and play all over again like an old videotape. I love going out on dates with him. Happy moments end to fast but I am hopeful for the future :)
Staying at home helps me to save money.
What should I do after exam??? Gee.. I will be so unemployed. Any suggestion?
Thinking about organizing my room again and get rid of unwanted clothes and books. I want to go Ikea and walk around soon. Hmm..maybe after my exam.

Hello world!!! Year 2011 is just 4 days old. What have I been doing?

Well, I haven't officially started any preparation for my final exam yet. Just reading a little here and there. Hopefully I get more motivation to do it.

No procrastination, no procrastination, no procrastination, no procrastination...keep on chanting.

Hmm..I am going to feel uneasy if I kept on pushing myself like this. I will study when I feel like doing it.

Well, brand new year, brand new adventure coming ahead. I got myself a new diary to begin a new chapter of my life. (Not really a new one since I bought it half a year ago from Bangkok) Cute right? I can't resist polka dots. Love them most and they never go out of fashion.

A note to myself in my fresh new page:

Anna, you may be a weird girl having your own random thoughts, living in your own world but be brave to be who you are. Dream your dreams and start reaching for them.

Don't be bother what others' opinions and criticisms are on you. People are judgmental but that doesn't mean you have to eat those words. You're going to lose out if you let them drag you down. So, don't. Nothing is impossible if you believe you can do it =)

That's what I have to say to myself. Recently, I sense that I am doubting myself. I hope this would be a reminder.

Anyway, this year is going to be AWESOME like the previous years!!!

And Voila!! we made yummilicious mash potatoes out of it

I did most of the mashing and Wern Hwei made the gravy.

Trust me, it was really good.

For the first time, I am proud...haha

I wake up feeling horrible. I hate days like this because it demotivates me. Tried to sleep longer since I had no plans at all. But I just couldn't, arhhh!!!Rolling left and right on my bed. Awake and got up eventually.

As usual, I logged on to my facebook. One of my morning routine after making my tea. Shirleen send a happy belated birthday message to me :) Damn bitch, that's 7 days later. She is just tooo busy to remember. However, I forgive her. Instantly, I took my phone and called her. Yes!! she's free for the day. What's best, we ask Victor too as he is back from Singapore for a month. huhuhu..

That's the story of my random meeting with Shirleen and Victor. Boy, I really really miss them as my college buddy. No matter how far apart we are, we will still remain as friends.

Hmm..If not mistaken, I haven't meet them since May? Right after I came back from US and before they headed out to UK.
They are like my big brother and sister. And I just don't understand why do I feel like a little girl to them. Boleh manja manja sikit. kukukukuku.

I didn't miss the chance to capture some Christmas decoration in Mid Valley.

Look really kiddy and unromantic as compared to white Christmas theme with purple lights... However, I love the BEARS!! and they are hanging everywhere in all shapes and sizes.

This is a huge one and I wish I could brought it back home with me. Hmmm..think again, it's so wise to keep soft toy this big. Dust trapper.

Today is one of those slow moving day. It was cloudy the whole afternoon which directly affected my emotion. I don't know why I feel so dull ever since I woke up. Honestly speaking, I didn't enjoy the day. I went to my classes but there is nothing interesting. I was reading The Voyage of the Dawn Treader instead. had that book since I was little, so it became an really yellowish vintage looking. Have you watch the movie? I think it was good.

So, just to let you know, TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!

I'm turning 22 starting from now onwards. *Stress stress* Yes, my age is counting up but what can I do. I can't stay 18 forever even if I feel like 18. hehe. I'm afraid of growing up because when you're older, you have greater responsibilities. BUT, I don't have peter pan syndrome. Well, I just have to live with the fact that I am growing up and welcome the all the new challenges in the coming years. Ahh.. why is life so complicating.

Cut the crap Anna. Anyway, this birthday, my birthday is really different than the years before. It was usually celebration with my close circle of friends or on me, myself, shopping and walking alone. This time, somebody actually made a GREAT effort to postpone his exam sitting to come from US in time for my birthday. In additional, he took another 5 hours bus ride from Penang to KL. Yes, I have the best boyfriend ever. This is way too much than what I was expecting. Thinking again now, I feel so loved :)

As far as I am concerned, I hardly mention about him in this blog before. Maybe a little bit here and there but nothing specifically on him. Some of you might be curious because I always hang out with my girlfriends and guy friends only. We are doing long distance, with him in Minnesota and me in PJ/ KL. That's 14 hours difference. So, I am not single. PLUS, I can tell everyone that my boyfriend is not imaginary. How did we do it? I don't know. Just with faith.

So, we went on a date. A really fun date. Talking and catching up with each other. Since time is so limited for us to be together, every second counts and should be highly appreciated.

This morning, Loo Fen and Zach took us for Dim Sum brunch in Seapark. I don't recall the restaurant's name though but its good. Here's a peep on what we ordered. Of course, we ate way more than this. hehe. blurp.

Salad Prawn is my all time favourite. Without fail, I would order this if I was at any dim sum place.

After the good meal, we headed to Bukit Bintang for Standard Chartered Bank to make his visa renewal processing fee. So, we just jalan-jalan around there like a true tourist. We even asked the concierge for directions because my sense of navigation suck. I doubt that I even have any. However, it was really enjoyable.

Just sat at Starbucks for free WiFi. He just can't live a day without his computer.

With the perfect lightings there, I just have to take a photograph of myself. And I am really into the photo editing applications on my phone. I can make them vintage looking and I'm loving it.

Okay, time was short. I guess that's all for our date today. He's probably on his way to Phuket now for family vacation. See you next week Babe. Love you...

Shopping Experience

I went to Topshop today, after my class. It was raining and I didn't want to go home so early as I forgot to take my umbrella.

The shop assistant was so helpful and friendly. I was shopping alone and she gave me a little opinion. She even took the trouble to look over the whole store when I couldn't find my size over the shelf. What's best, she said thank you to me when I was directed to the check out counter.

You see, I hardly get shop assistant who thank me before because they always think that I should be gratitude to them because I am the person asking for help, especially those who are stationed at the fitting room. That's what I think. I don't know about you.

Anyway, that girl made my day. Keep up the good work.

So much to do, so little time. :) every second pass just like a finger snap. When I was looking at the calender 1 hour ago, I just realize tomorrow would be the first day of December. Can you believe it? Its already coming to year end. After a long tiring day, I feel like talking about what I did for the last few days. To be more specific, since last Friday.

Friday:

Today marked the rarest event in my college years but not the most unfortunate one. We were supposed to submit our written report on International Business Strategy between 9am to 11am. At 945am, Poh Suan and I were trying to eliminate the number of words that we wrote. The given words limit was 3000. Our words count: 3751. Die die die... Panic. So, we managed to cut down to 3580, not caring about the words anymore. Consequently, we could not hang in on time. Our tutor left his room angrily because we were not the only ones. Luckily, there were 8 groups in the same boat as us and I didn't feel that bad. We waited till 2pm where he came back and we had to face the music. He is going to deduct our points :(

Saturday:

Working in Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang. You know where? The township along Jalan Meru. It was the launch for Fuego, 26 x 75, 2 storeys superlink home by Sime Darby Property. Ever since I found the function of camera on my iPhone, I started taking pictures, making use of it (I believe, phone is just a phone. Why do you want to snap photos with it?)

Right after work, I went home, took a shower and waited for Su Wen. We are going to The Humble Chef in Pusat Bandar Damansara. It's a van operating like a restaurant next to McDonald's. Met up with Mei Ling there but it was not open. Sob sob. So, we decided to just downgrade to mamak. In the process of leaving that place we saw the van passing by, driving the opposite way. They were not closed but just late. Hahaha. We made a big turning back to where the van was. Picture above: we sat by the roadside on the flyover.

I had Chicken Pita, RM4. Seriously, this was so good. Delicious~ worth my every cent.

Sunday:

Second day of the launching in Bukit Raja. Since more than 80% of the houses already sold out yesterday, it was a slow day. I was hanging around the show unit and talk talk talk..about the bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, what the floor made of and etc. People are so rich these days to purchase a house like a pair of shoe. aku pun mau~~~

This is Paloma, another 2 storey link home but smaller than Fuego, 24 x 65. I love the design and concept. Look pretty cool to own a house with interior like this.

This is Chloe, a very sweet girl working with me today.

By night time, I had a dinner date with Lai Yee and Mei Ling in Christang Restaurant, 8 Avenue, PJ. Hadn't seen Lai Yee in such a long time. Well, what to do, she is simply too busy for me. Haha. The photos are a little blurry because of the lightings or, it's just my mediocre photography skill.

Mash potato. One of the best that I have ever tried.

Pork Burger. Too meaty. Beware: non-halal content

Aglio Olio spaghetti with olive oil (Bacon and mushroom). This is a 2 thumbs up !

Nasi Lemak with Bacon and pork sausage. I think it was moderate tasting.

Next stop was KTZ at SS2, PJ for Chinese dessert. I had water chestnut but it was too sweet to finish to the bottom.

Monday:

Continue from Friday about the mark deduction. Our tutor said he would minus 6% out of our coursework report mark (total is 50%). And of course, I was not happy about it and catches him after class to negotiate so that he can have mercy on us. He could not let us go without penalty no matter what. Whereas, I wouldn't let it happen without a fight. Poh Suan and I came out with a solution whereby we suggest to write an individual article of reflection about what we learn through out the whole semester to earn back at most 3% of our lost 6%. And he agreed! 3% meant a lot to us. This applies to all the other 8 groups. Joy~~~~~~~~~~

Tuesday:

International Marketing Strategy presentation on Truly Loving Company. A Malaysia based manufacturer of personal care and household products which contributes 100% of their profit to charity. Imperfect presentation performance but I still get high marks. Hahahaha. What a joke.

Quickly, we have to start on the next assignment, Case Study. Damn, I need a break and breathe. A long sleep.

Everyone was working seriously in OldTown.

Phew... This is a long post. I feel like blurting out something non academia and relaxing. Not Michael Porter's five forces, market entry strategy or Dunning's framework.....That's all. I have to get back to what I need to do.

My life is not always about college assignment as there is also fun time at work on the weekend. I have to say that working is the only way I can release stress related from college. I get to meet people, smile and talk to them.

Yes, Su Wen is like a laugh machine and she has this really recognizable signature laugher. And she is really really really nice and caring. Glad and blessed to have a good friend like her. There is not a time that I would not think about my assignments. While in the eating, before sleep, when I wake up, in the train, bathroom. It is as if I live for assignment. Don't want to screw up my final semester in college.

I have a busy schedule recently, juggling my time classes, tutorial questions, work, friends, boyfriend, family, leisure. I can't wait for the moment of doing nothing to come. Sit by the corner and stone without working my brain. Yes, just do nothing.

You know... this might sound random and stupid but I can't help thinking about this lately. "I wish I am prettier, thinner and smarter".

I guess that's why I am stress out because I am far from that.

What a lazy Sunday I am having now. Rolling left and right on the bed when the sun rose. Take my own sweet time to brush my teeth and have breakfast. My plan for today is suppose to stay at home and do my assignment. But I am not very productive. Instead, I go back to my bed and just lie there and do nothing for hours, read novel, go online and facebook and blog stalking....Too late to be regretful for the time lost.

Second part of the day:

I am looking back at the things I did when I was 12, that's about 10 years ago. Where I worship popular songs. Backstreet boys, Britney Spears, 911, Westlife, Spice girls. When I was 12, life seem simpler and there is no stress at all. Go to school, watch tv, eat and sleep.

Why is it so different now? I am 21, if I were 31, I bet there are much more things to worry about. But well, bring it on. I am excited to see the 10 years older me :)

What a wonderful day today is. Heng Fai came to KL from Ipoh and he never said a word to me about it until last night. So, we took a chance to have breakfast together before my dreadful Case Study lecture class (it lasted one hour though).

I never had McMuffin with egg is such a long long long time. Ya, it's not usual for me to have McDonald for breakfast. It was yummy and went perfectly well with a cup of tea without cream and sugar. Just plain Tea.

He still look like himself after so long but with bad taste of hairstyle and visible belly. Haha. I know you're going to read this someday. I got a little tips on travelling in UK, especially London.

I wish I could go there. One fine day. I wonder how it feels like to travel in a big city alone. Do I have the guts to take the chance? I really want to....

Then coincidently, I met Heng Fai and Jean (his girlfriend and my former course mate) in the LRT station. Jean and I were heading the same way. We yack-yack in the train like nobody's business. I heard from her about London too. And about Heng Fai being very romantic in Paris giving a rose to Jean. Unbelievable as the Heng Fai I knew was nothing like that. They are so lucky to have each other. And I smile when I see how cute they are. That gives me hope.

Late!!! I am late! Initially, I thought my class started at 12pm but it was actually 11am. Found out about that after Poh Suan message me to ask where am I. Made it to the class but 50 minutes later.

This is just one of the many silly things I did. In another words, I can't help being blur (Malaysian slang for being ignorance).

Aside from that, on the way to the train station from my college, I miss my stop. Therefore, I got down a station after and walk to the train station from there.

Today, I was thinking about:

In my to do list, I wrote " go to Europe". I was wondering how can I achieve that. Well, all I can do now is start praying and work hard. No matter what we have one life to live. It's either now or never because I don't want to regret for things I hasn't done. Hmmm...dreaming about trip to Paris.

Love being in love. We are separated by many many many miles away but I don't mind missing him simply because it's him.

Shih Mei has been my good companion ever since my first year of college. We talk everything and anything. We cherish silence together without feeling awkward. She faithfully trust me about all the decisions I made and have been very supportive. If anything goes wrong with my life, without any shadow of doubt, l would run to her and cry.

Guess what, we met today after few months of separation and I'm soo happy. I haven't feel like that in such a long time. It is as if I am the cheerful self again. I miss all the time we had together. However, she has to move on. Look for job in somewhere else and make big money. I hope this is not goodbye. It came too soon.

I wonder what we would be like in 5 years time and the rest of our lives? Will I be the godmother to her children? Or we will be the single carefree women sharing a house with a cat? This is getting really emotional. No more hanging out like how we did, before I went US and before she left for UK. But you know what, it doesn't matter. Even if we are on different track now, she's going to be my best friend.

Urgh.. Woke up this morning with major hang over. I don't remember when was the last time that I feel so horrible. My head hurt and I couldn't even lift my body up. Worst of all, it's just Friday, not Saturday or Sunday, this means I still have to go to work. How I wish I could call the office to take a medical leave. But I don't want to take the risk. die die also must gather myself mentally and physically to face the hours in the so called prison.

Lesson of the day: Do not gulp down 4 bottle beers when you're humgry.
But it was an AWESOME happy hour in Aloha with RM30 for the first beer and RM1 each bottle for the next. A farewell for Lillian (who is flying off to Australia for good) and welcome the 2 new Korean interns, Don and Colin to Malaysia. Toast!!

Anyway, I didn't really think I perform well at work but I tried my best. Whatever. It's FRIDAY, baby. YAY!!! Have I mention that the whole office (except the directors) went to Domino Pizza for lunch time? We ordered lots and lots of pizzas, maybe about 10 regular size for 18 of us. The best part, after work, we went downstairs to Brussels for drinks (non-alcohol for me because I have beer phobia now) and had fantastic chats. I can feel my mouth numb out of over-laughing.

Anyway, glad that I made it home early because I really want to just relax and lie on my bed. So, here I am, blogging.

I think I had the best sleep of the week yesterday knowing the fact that the next day will be SUNDAY. Isn't it perfect? I dream about something but I just don't remember them. Well, I know I don't have to try hard to recall it as it is just a dream. It is not something true untill it become real.

Before having my hearty breakfast, I want to slip away and watch a movie. I bought 2 movies yesterday. Julie & Julia and New York, I Love You. They are quick picks from the store. So, I started my morning with Julie & Julia. It's brilliant and fresh and it makes me hungry. Just go for it.

5 Days in Bangkok

Yay!!! Finally, I made it to Bangkok. Those who read my previous post, I had to forgo my return ticket to Bangkok last year because I didn't know that I had a test on that day. Well, this time, everything went smoothly :)

A little girl sat in front of me kept looking at us through the whole 2 hours journey.very very cute. She tried to asked Lai Yee to feed her.

Bangkok is a very colorful city. Mainly because they have cabs in many different colors. Pink, blue, geen, yellow, red...you name it, they have it. The bright colors of cab make life look wonderful there.

One of the objective that we went to Bangkok is obviously for SHOPPING. Su wen and Lai Yee bought a lot. As for me, I add up new varieties to my closet. yay!!!

Besides shopping, we went there for food. yum yum. Thai food is really tasteful.

It's a Monday

I left the office early today for the very first time. And I hope it will never be the last time. Usually, I can never walk of that building before 8.30pm. That's when I get to see the beautiful bright lights while walking on one of most happening place, Jalan P Ramlee, where most of the renown clubs in KL located. Aloha, Beach Club, Poppy, so on and so forth.

Well, I slack for a little while by clicking around facebook. Though it's nice to be home early, I still have to work from home too. sigh. If there was more than 24 hours a day. Or if I was more productive and efficient. Things might be done earlier.

I came to realised this morning, what I do in the office is so much related to my field of study, international business.
My title is very small, just merely a trade and research assistant but everything starts here.
Everyday I stress over my work mainly worrying, where can I get Malaysian companies who would be interested to meet up with Korean companies.
This job needs lot of endurance.

Highlight of today: Anna Lim made it on the newspaper. I know it's not the headline but an advertisement. Well, to look on the bright side, I think at least this is a accomplishment lah. hahaha. okay, forget about my craps. I shall start working now.

I see bright stars in the dark

Last week was the most dreadful week that I had ever gone through in my entire life, at least for now. It was as if I fell into a 6 feet deep dark pit and there was a powerful dark force that chained me from climbing up. Hmm. That's how miserable those days were. I couldn't sleep well every night. A sweet delicious peanut butter flavor baskin robin' s ice cream couldn't even make me feel better.

On the first day, I let my senior down by telling her I hate my job, I wanted to quit. She's the one who hired me and she was impressed on how I sold myself during the interview. I don't take marketing class for nothing. However, tst tst tst... when she threw the task to me, I realised that it was not my strenght at all. I couldn't do it. Quickly, I drafted out lots of plans to runaway. Like telling them I got hit by a car or somebody kidnapped me or just simply disappear. These are some stupid things I could think of when I was desperate. But, I knew that there was nothing can be done. I was too stubborn to quit. Life goes on.

But you know what. I am different now after working for the second week. Slowly, I adapt to the stressful environment.Instead of venting my dissatisfation by letting every one that I came across know how much I hated my job, I began to accept it. Why don't, with my strenght and might, I focus my energy on seeing the brighter side of it. Additionally, there are so many people who care for me gave me lots of encouragement. A simple word of "don't give up on yourself" kept me going. I couldn't thank them enough. I am so blessed to have these people in my life. So, Anna is A OKAY from now onwards. I guess I just loosed the chain and lift myself up. What I can do is wake up every morning and tell myself that

I love my job I proudly say
I love it more and more each day
I love my boss and her bosses and the people who share my pain
I love all tasks and don't mind doing them again and again
So, just get up and make it there.

I am working this weekend too. But, as property promoter. It's funny to see there are people out there who are rich enough to shop for houses like they are buying a pair of shoe.

Alright. I want to take a short one hour power nap now before starting to do some paperwork.

Seriously, truly and honestly, I prefer working than going out. I like having something to do.

New rule of living : Work like you don't need money, love like you've never been hurt, dance like no one is watching.

Rained when I was walking back home.
No umbrella and no shed. Today is officially a bad day for me. But, I don't feel anything at all.
My mind was blank. I am not happy with things I do, I just stay numb.
I saw a man on the street wearing a pink t-shirt said " Don't Give Up". Cute. I wish it was mine.
I dragged myself into a pile of mud which I don't know how to swim my up.
Every minute every second I keep telling myself that I must quit this job but I just couldn't. How can I give up without trying. This my third day and I am still down under.
I felt incompetent. What ever I written here. It's just SHIT. I feel like SHIT.
I just want you to know, I need you now.

Hey world, this is Felicia (right). Since this weekend will be my final days as Sime Darby property promoter, I told tell Felicia honestly, what I thought about her. She's a really really really nice girl. *she bluhsed*. Yes, it's true. While I was with her, I can't feel any bad aura surrounding her presence. Plus, she's almost same tall as me, so, we clicked well. hehe. And she is a very positive person. Like, no matter how negative the responses from the customer or how hot is the weather outside, a smile and some words of encouragement from her will actually cast away all the problems. Basically, she is the reason that make my job fun :)

I bought a sandwich from Subway but I have no appetite to eat it. Will just save it for breakfast tomorrow.

I took my own sweet time walking outside without worrying about sunlight burning my skin.
Today is a cloudy day. Random fact about me, " I*heart* rain.
At this point of time, I am unemployed. Guess who is in the same shoe as me? Evelyn

She's my friend/senior/ex-colleague in PwC (Pricewaterhousecoopers), the place where I did my internship for three months last year. Well, she's not really unemployed because she's working as assistant researcher for her lecturer. Evelyn accepted an offer from Long Beach, LA for masters program. Flying over to the States in August. *Cheers*.

Overall, my laid back day consist of meeting Evelyn and together we picked up Jamie from the office for dinner. Jamie used to be Eve's colleague. It was pleasant conversation with them and I get one or two advices about work from the two big sisters :) Thanks !!

I had dim sum at Damansara Jaya with Jasmine, Hui-Ling, Gan and Tan this morning.
Finally, we get the chance to meet after we came back from St. Cloud. Yay!!
But I put on a sleepy face today because I slept at 4am and I had to wake up at 7.30am. I don't remember whose brilliant suggestion to have breakfast at 8.30am.

These are called dim sum, to those who don't know what are they.

Working Friday

Today is one of the few days where it rain in the morning. Do you know how nice to sleep in a cool rainy morning. The best time to be lazzzzzy. But, I just have to wake up to work. Many people start their horrible working life on Monday. However, I work over the weekends. There is no "thank God it's Friday" for me. And I have my weekdays freeeeeee.

Wake up wake up Anna, you have properties to promote!!!!!!

Materials to study before work. I want to play smart when customer ask me anything, I will have the answers beforehand. What if I can't answer them? I would just say, "you can just go to the sales galleries that you're interested or give them a call". No worries at all.

I was so energetic in the afternoon as I tried to approach as many people as possible. I was just in a happy mood. So, today ended up being a great day and time passes really fast at work.

My brother is so kind that he willingly pick me up from work. Hmmm, well, not willingly to be honest, because I keep manja-ing with him, telling him that I am the only sister he has over the phone..kukuku..

Then we went to the new Empire Shopping Gallery and had dinner in Nyonya Colours. No matter what, I still think eating real nyonya food in Melaka is the best.

My brother bought a mini cooper model to add to his collections of car. What a waste of money.

I guess this is my biggest accomplishment for today. Psst...Sherryn is the provider of the broccoli. It's a funny gift and I shall remember forever.

I am so gonna miss my friends. Those in US, those in their own countries, those who are going to UK and those who are in Malaysia but I don't get the chance to meet. Okay, stop, to myself; don't you dare try to be emotional. We can't turn back time or press Crtl+Z. Life goes on whether you like it or not.

Staying alone at home and trying to find things to do to keep me occupied might look pathetic to you. But NO, I have company :) Even though he is not physically presence but it feels like it. We just have conversations about everything and nothing. Thank God for MSN and Skyppe!!!

Alright, now he is asleep because it's freaking night time in US. So, I am going to continue watching Friends. And I feel like cleaning the mess in my room today. I am tired of being lazzzzzy now. Let's do something productive.

Highlight of today is meeting with Leong aka Sherryn. It is not easy to make appointment with this girl, she's to busy building her career :) Today, kononnya she is sick and on medical leave. So, why not I just take this chance to meet her.

We talked about everything and anything. And I just thought of a new nickname for her, " suddenly hug me from behind girl." It's an inside joke. I don't think she would let me expose it here.

The thing that brighten up my day is when she message me after the meet saying " Hey darling. I'm so happy spending the evening with you. Hope to see you again soon. ' Likewise Leong.

Well, this blog is really something long lost forgotten. I was avoiding it but there is no place that I can hide from it. I am back to my real KL life. Sometimes, I wake up feeling a little confused and frustrated. Nothing scares me more than my own future. That's my secret. I no longer know what I am doing anymore.

There are too many changes that I have to deal with lately and I pressed the ignore button too many times. Every undone to-do things just accummulated and it makes me feel incredibly angry with myself for not accomplishing them. The truth is, I don't really like the state of now. I don't know why I don't have the joy of doing things that I used to do anymore. No more manga, looking for food, clubbing, yum cha, shopping and so on. Yes, I miss the old me and I just can't find that girl anymore. I laugh and smile but I feel they are fake. Something change inside of me but I don't know what. That's right, these are making me lost. How could somebody don't understand himself/herself like I do. Strange.

So, school is going to start in October. My lovely brother keep asking me to look for job. I have a job as freelancer but he wanted me to do something normal and better. The types where you are suppose to be in the office, Monday to Friday, from 9am till 5pm. Many times, while working over the weekends, I just thought to myself that I really need to get some valuable experience. Doing more freelance jobs makes me feel so stupid because those are no-brainer and unchallenging. Fuck the money. I decided to try to get any low paying internship. Honestly, I don't know which company would wanna hire me. Let's send out more application tomorrow. Not janji kosong.

Trip to Target Field and Mill City Museum

So, I went to the Target Field today. I was not excited at all because... well, just because I don't understand the game of baseball.

We were taking tonnes of pictures and I heard somebody said "they are so tourist". Yes, we are tourists, so what.

It turned out to be a memorable experience because I have not seen anything like this before.

I experienced and survived Minnesota winter. How I wish there was a Diploma for that. The best thing happening now is green new leaves are growing out of the tree branches. And I think I have new obsession over squirrels and dogs. Mommy, can I have a puppy?

Anyway, my business here is going to be done soon.

I miss home a little. Just a little because I was just away for a few months. But you know what, I am going to miss St. Cloud more. There is possibility that the byes we say are going to be goodbye forever. Well, that's part of life, people come and go. No matter how sad is that, life goes on. At least, I am taking home life stories and experiences with me. And a few kilograms. That's more than what I can ask.

I really want to come back here sometime in near future.

Could someone take me out for seafood dinner? I will give you Minnesota postcard in return...

It's so funny that people forgot to wear their shoe before they walk out of their house.

and we sat down at the side to watch.

It's a lovely day and we decided to do crazy things outside too.

I taught Justo and Shiori how to do the "Watermelon Tai-chi".

In a short time, they outperformed me. They are fast learner.

We didn't think that we get enough sunshine, so we went house-watching.

In a small place like St. Cloud, there are not many fun things that we could do.

I personally like this one. Simply because it is simple.

It was just a click, yes, just an easy brief click,I bought my new baby.

My baby arrived in my mailbox within 4 days.

And I peeled the wrapper one by one like a banana :)

Getting my new iPod touch 8gb from Amazon was the best bargain I could get.

Plus, I dress him up handsomely in pink.

Now, I can play around with my iPod without socializing in the real world.

Yay...my iPod, my precious.

iPod have all the soundtracks for my life.

Ayaka, Shiori and Justo thinks that I am too obsess with my new toy.

It was as if I am married to him and I am forgetting my friends =P

After my classes and lunch, I just felt like going to Walmart.

Took the Westside bus. Not many people. nice.

I did my shopping extra slow today because I spent 2 hours to buy 5 things :)

That's why I like to shop alone.

St. John's Maple Syrup Festival

I have 40 days left to live in St. Cloud. Thinking about it makes me depress. I can't bring the all the wonderful people I met here to go back home with me. Starting from the point of departure, I can only take only memories with me... and some pictures.

Everything has to come to an end. But you know what. In life, every end is just a new beginning.

Last Saturday, we got to get out of St. Cloud. But we didn't go far, just to St. John which is about 20 minutes away from here. The trip only cost me $3, so... why not. Plus, we get to see how maple syrup are made.

Okay, I forgot to take the exterior picture of the bus. It is a typical yellow school bus like the ones you see in the tv.

I met him for the first time on Friday morning in Garvey (the cafeteria). I knew that he lives somewhere in St. John. But I didn't know that St. John is so small.

As what my title said I am going to post up something..hehe.. I has been busy lately. Trying really hard to balance my studies and social life. Living in residence hall is AWESOME but sometimes, staying too long on campus could be sickening.

Casey showed Shiori, Ayaka and I his house on Google Map. He live in the middle of the forest. Non of us could believe it. And so, that was it, he is going to take us to his house

We had nothing to do on that Sunday afternoon. So, we drove aimlessly on the roads. Roads that Casey never taken before. And guess, where we ended at? Mille Lacs Lake, the biggest lake in Minnesota. When we saw the lake, we were like "Holy shit!!" It was amazing.

Ayaka chan and Shiori chan. My adorable Japanese friends. They are really fun to be with.

Everyone should do this. At least once in their life. Take out your jacket and lie down on the frozen icy lake.

I Think I am Gaining Some Pounds

I can feel it when I sit down. Those extra parts around my waist. Not good at all. I kept on thinking that people can't see through the extra parts underneath my bulky winter outerwear.

To all those who don't know. I have an unlimited access meal plan. What does it mean? It means that I can go to the cafeteria anytime between 7 am and 7 pm. Plus, I can eat whatever I want and how much I want. Crazy right.

From today onward, I promise to decrease the urge to binge eat. I am telling the whole world about this. So, I guess I have to keep it.
