It was insanely cold outside. The typical Minnesotan winter :)

I can finally move into the dorm.. I mean residence hall.

Yong Han and I walked about 5-10 minutes to the university from his apartment with my luggages. Thanks.

Check-in at Sherburne Hall and we met SK, who is sort of like my welcome committee there. But now he becomes my babysitter..hehe.. SK is also one of the malaysian student family member with major in international business.

Feels so taken-care-of to have fellow Malaysians who help me settle down endlessly. Jasmine is making sure that I have enough food filled in my stomach. Got free hangers and shower basket too. Too bad that I just bought it from Walmart but I am going to return it tomorrow. They have 90 days return and exchange policy =D

You know what, I forgot to get bedsheet and pillow case. well, I didn't entirely forget. I just didn't know that comforter and the linens comes seperately. Gonna get it tomorrow.

So, this is the beginning of the chapter about my life as an Global UGRAD exchange student for spring semester.

PS:My nose bleed constantly, is it common in winter? Really freaked the hell out of me when I see blood stain on the tissue when I blew my nose. For the first few days they weren't this much.

2nd day in St Cloud

You know what, updating my blog is like a new obligation for me to do. Most if not all of my friends remind me to post things about my stay in St. Cloud.

Hmm, nothing much to write about. As many have known, I reached the States on new year's day because they couldn't find a flight for me to arrive later. The school is closed untill January 4th. So, I am staying in June's room before I could move into my residence hall. She's a Malaysian student in St. Cloud StateUniversity (SCSU). And currently, she's working in the cities, that's why her room is empty. Oh, when they say cities, they meant Minneapolis St Paul, just a fast fact about Minnesota. Thank God for her or else I would be homeless and frozen dead on the street side...

During my stay in the apartment, I hardly go out at all. Except for yesterday where we went to the mall.

Okay, this is the bus ride. Honestly, I have no idea about the directions in St. Cloud.

I need to get used to it soon.

Stop by Phoenix Restaurant to get take outs.

They serve Americanise chinese foods.

At dinner, I met Meimei and her husband Casey.

Casey mix dry gin, tonic and lime for us. Nice.

After dinner, we played chor dai di (if you know what I mean)

They bought Monopoly in Target.

We all played Monopoly when we were younger right.

The longest new year

When I say longest new year, I meant it literally.

I spent my silent countdown in Singapore Transit Hotel.

There were two bed for me to choose, I hopped from one to another and hopped back.

Hmm, just trying to get the right feel.

If you know what I mean.

Okay okay, I was syoking sendiri.

The tv is huge. watched Godzilla on Channel 5

as usual, take a picture of the mirror with me in it :-)

walking back to the hotel to sleep for an hour.

by 4am, I have to wake up to check in with Northwest Airlines.

It was a new year.

took second flight to Narita Airport.

it was about 6 hours and 50 minutes.

had my breakfast but I didn't really fancy it.

reached Tokyo at about 1 pm.

it was very cold in the air craft.

the guy sitting next to me wrapped himself up like a cocoon with blankets.

quite funny though.

still new year here.

not long after that, i hopped into the next plane to minneapolis st paul airport.

I took no picture as I was too sick. vomitted in the lavatory and i felt so much better.

I couldn't wait to get out of the plane when it landed in my destination at 12 pm.

I spent about 10 hours in the air transport. dreadful

was waiting for my shuttle to St Cloud.

Happy New year!!!!

Gosh..This is so depressing. I am spending my new year in Changi International Airport. All by myself :( Hmm.. my friends jokingly say that I should count down and hug everyone in the airport. I wish I can do that but in reality, things are not like that here. No crowd here, except for security guards and airport workers.

I was watching Chanel 5 in the Transit Hotel. I can't sleep. So, I just walk out of my room and explore Terminal 1.

Well, at least my friends never forget about me. Mei Ling, Su Wen, Cherry, Wern Hwei, Loo Fen and Wen Khai called on my mobile to wish me. So sweet of them =D Love you all very much. Back home, I bet they are partying crazily. Hmm, party woun't be fun without me *perasan*

Too hungry, had Subway's Cold Cut Trio just now. Filled with Turkey ham, turkey bologna and salami (I think). I tried it because they don't have this in Malaysia. But then, my type of sandwich at all.

I am writing my blog at the free Internet Access Area in the Transit Lounge. I have to type very fast because the system will log out automatically every 15 minutes. So tedious.

Anyway, Happy New Year to everyone. And thanks for sending goodbye messages but I couldn't read it as I leave my postpaid mobile number with my mum. So, probably she will read it. So, don't type FUNNY text. And thanks to my friends who came to KLIA. Today is the most goodbye I ever get.

Okay, got to go. My time is up. Going back to the hotel to reenergise before my 6am flight tomorrow.
